Fête du Bleu d’Auvergne
Organised by Festi’Bleu and SIRBA, Regional Inter-professional Bleu d’Auvergne Syndicate, the Fête du Bleu d’Auvergne is one of the biggest fairs for the region. For two days, this unique gathering takes over a Cantal town every third weekend in August to celebrate the famous Auvergne blue cheese!
Tastings, production demonstrations or even cooking workshops with Auvergne bloggers, are organised every year on the SIRBA stand.
Also on the Fête du Bleu d’Auvergne programme: music events, shows and many exhibitions: about heifers. At night, there is a meal offering local fare, accompanied by a band and/or DJ.
With over 100 exhibitors every year, the Fête du Bleu d’Auvergne also has a large market in the centre of town offering local products. Visitors can discover and try many specialities such as Auvergne wines, charcuterie and preserves, as well as lentils, honey, gentian liqueurs or even artisan ice creams. Please note that each year the Fête celebrates a different terroir and a different PDO!
The Fête du Bleu d’Auverge unites all the ingredients for a real feast and fun time spent with friends or family!
